Pedagogy:

The director and the entire teaching team implemented at Le Sud a teaching method that aims to acquire knowledge emphasizing the children’s autonomy. In line with active methods, Le Sud has chosen a pedagogy which favors initiatives, individualized and group work and creativity.

The children organize their work themselves. they learn to live with others, to build their personality. The teaching team is always ready to arouse the children’s curiosity but does not act for them; they do everything possible to ensure that everyone succeeds using the maximum of their capacity. This method seeks to develop intellectual, physical, emotional and relational abilities in everyone. This prepares a climate of both trust and demand.


Within each class, everyone can think and express themselves with respect for others. Depending on the class level, appropriate material is offered to the pupils to help them progress: they learn to plan what they have to do and thus become capable of acting themselves. they take responsibility for their work.

The educational community:

All members of the community participate in the educational action built at the Le Sud.

• The head of the establishment with the Teaching Team.

• Adults who do not teach directly have an essential role not only for the safety of the students but above all for the school’s warm atmosphere. The efficiency and dynamism of the administration and maintenance staff also contribute to this good behavior which is one of the characteristics of the School.

Parents take their share of responsibility in the life of the institute. The role of the A.D.P.E members is to represent all parents. They promote any initiative likely to energize the establishment. They formulate concrete proposals to the head of the establishment and the educational team then participate in their implementation.
