Le Sud school project is based on three pillars: Helping people to build themselves, Opening up to the world and Opening up to others.

Le Sud ESTABLISHMENT PROJECT

Axis 1: Helping to build oneself

Objective 1: To welcome student diversity
– To be more attentive to educational demand at the time of enrolment by inviting parents to express their motivations.
– In the 1st year of HS, to pay greater attention to welcoming new students (from different backgrounds, at different levels, etc.) by offering specific support during meetings with teachers.

Objective 2: To unite adults around the school project
– To recognize and promote the dignity of the teaching profession, its skills and its commitment to education.
– To invite teachers to work as educational partners with parents, sharing cultural, educational or sports projects.
– To set up times and places to better communicate and share information about the profession.

Objective 3: Continuous support
– To improve training in different career paths by making career guidance training a priority in teacher training plans.
– To support students with different profiles, practice different teaching methods and train in mental management.
– To make mistakes a lever of progress and to encourage memorization efforts.

Axis 2: Opening up to the world

Objective 1: To aim for humanization through culture and mastery of knowledge.
– To enable and support the development of interdisciplinary projects: art history, sustainable environment, etc.
– To develop a critical mindset in all information-seeking activities, with rigorous selection of sources.
– To broaden modes of knowledge by encouraging creative approaches and reflecting on the meaning of learning (exploration courses, documentation….).

Objective 2: Be a player of your era
– In High School, to help students develop their personal projects through personalized support and exploration courses.
– To enable students to take responsibility and be accountable to adults.
– To give students the opportunity to reflect on their involvement in their digital environment, science, history, sustainable development, and so on.

 

Axis 3: Opening up to others

Objective 1: To teach students to live together
– To hold a school council meeting with « living together » as a theme.
– To make the principal teacher’s time at Middle School and in the Common Core a privileged place for rereading how to live together.
– To commit to the school community by taking on a specific service.

Objective 2: To enrich our links.
– To enable each class to experience a collective, unifying time that is meaningful for students.
– To encourage mutual support between students in the same class and between generations of students.
